About Us

Zealots?

Well for a kick off it’s pronounced Zeh-lots, not Zee-lots. That clears that up. It means to have a fanatical and uncompromising approach to what you believe in. And we believe in doing it right.

Established 2017

Started by Joanne Dinnen in 2017, Zealots was created to fulfill a rapidly widening gap in the world of serving coffee. The recent surge in UK coffee sales, and in particular the surge in delicious single origin coffee sales made at the hands of a skilled barista, got Jo to thinking.

Celebrity chef’s were quite the rage and managed to get a huge audience of followers all keen to upgrade their palates, restaurants were enjoying their day in the sun. Starters, mains, desserts… a happy place on a plate, and then wallop you order a coffee to round off the meal and you received a frown in a cup, and were charged handsomely for it.

With very few exceptions, restaurant coffee simply hadn’t raised its game, and Jo set about building Zealots to show what could be achieved with hard work, a great product and lots of attention to detail.

Consistent quality and customer service triumphed and in response to our clients, Zealots evolved to meet the demand and broadened its range to include loose leaf tea and hot chocolate. Restaurants, hotel groups, global visitor attractions, football clubs and training centres all enjoying an increase in coffee, tea and hot chocolate sales as a direct result of a great product. Good times.

What We Do

Work hard, that’s what we do

From our Brew HQ we roast our own coffee, blendg our own loose-leaf tea and create some rather delicious hot chocolate.

Brew HQ

Brew HQ is the place Zealots calls home. The roasting and production side of what we do is here, located in North Wales it’s the perfect location for our roastery. It’s peaceful, and close enough to a great network of roads so that the locally based global courier service we partner can do their thing. They know us, we know them. Big orders, small orders they get it there next day, intact. Jo grew up in the food service industry so we are able to handle ‘last minute’ with ease.

Because it’s polite to share, we also have a high street retail presence in Chester called SIP – customers of our clients were constantly asking where they could buy our range for home use, what a good idea thought Jo, so not only can you now buy for home use, you can also pick up invaluable tips on how to get the best out of it.
